No one heals alone. The Safe Haven Project mobilizes neighbors, educators, clinicians, and advocates to surround victims and survivors of abuse and their children with practical help, trauma-informed resources, and community.

Proximity is power: when we get close, change accelerates.

Proximity is POWER—together we move people from crisis to care.

We build bridges to safety, healing, and dignity for families impacted by domestic abuse.

Our Mission

The Safe Haven Project is a global collaboration born from a program uniting teams of passionate leaders across the U.S. and 69 other countries. Our mission is clear: to create spaces and awareness so victims of abuse and survivors can reclaim their voice, rebuild their lives, and step into a future of safety, strength, and self-worth. We believe in the power of healing and the promise of empowerment.

Domestic violence thrives in silence; safety begins the moment someone speaks and someone listens.

What is The Safe Haven Project?

The Safe Haven Project is a MISSION in & of itself. The founders are working to create it as nonprofit dedicated to connecting victims and survivors of domestic violence — and their children — with vetted, trustworthy resources. We provide rapid-response support, fund proven partner organizations, and create educational tools for prevention and healing.

Can survivors help with the mission?

Absolutely. Survivor voices are critical in shaping Safe Haven’s resources and approach. Survivors can join our advisory circle, share stories (if they feel safe to do so), or help review educational content to ensure it’s sensitive and effective.

Why focus on “vetting” other organizations?

Not all resources are safe or effective. Survivors are often directed to places that lack proper training, trauma-informed care, or accountability. We research, verify, and build partnerships only with reputable organizations that meet our strict criteria, so every referral is one you can trust.

How does the donation process work?

OUR MISSION IS TO PARTNER WITH OTHER EXISTING CHARITIES THAT FOCUS ON HELPING VICTIMS & SURVIVORS (AND THEIR CHILDREN) OF DOMESTIC ABUSE.

Can I recommend an organization for partnership?

Absolutely! We welcome recommendations from our community. Each suggested organization must complete our vetting process, including verification of nonprofit status, financial transparency, and alignment with our mission.

How do you ensure donations are used responsibly?

We only fund registered nonprofits in good standing. We review their public financials, speak with leadership, and require follow-up reports. All grants and designations are documented in our quarterly and annual reports.

FAQ image

Are donations tax-deductible?

Yes. The Safe Haven Project is (or will be, upon final IRS determination) a 501(c)(3) public charity. All gifts are deductible to the fullest extent of the law. We provide official receipts for your records.

What is a “Founding Donator”?

Founding Donators are individuals or organizations who give $5,000+ during our first year or before we reach $100,000 raised. They receive permanent recognition, invitations to exclusive events, and the knowledge that they helped lay the foundation for The Safe Haven Project.

FAQ image

What is a “Founding Gladiator”?

Founding Gladiators are launch-phase advocates who commit time, skills, or resources for at least one year. They are part of our inner circle — helping spread awareness, supporting events, and shaping our mission from the ground up.

FAQ image

Can Safe Haven help me or someone I know in an emergency?

While we are not a crisis hotline, we can connect you to verified, trusted emergency resources in your area — including shelters, counseling, legal aid, and child-focused programs. For immediate safety, call 911 or the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE (7233) or text “START” to 88788.

How can I get involved besides donating?

Join as a Founding Gladiator

Volunteer your skills (marketing, education, legal, tech)

Host a fundraising or awareness event

Share our partner resources with your network

Follow and promote our mission on social media

FAQ image

How will I know my support is making an impact?

We publish quarterly transparency reports detailing funds raised, partners supported, and outcomes achieved. We also share personal stories (with consent) from those whose lives have been touched by your generosity.

FAQ image

I’m experiencing domestic violence — how can The Safe Haven Project help me?

We can connect you with verified shelters, legal assistance, counseling, and child advocacy services in your area. Our priority is that you receive help from trained, trustworthy professionals who understand the complexities of abuse and will prioritize your safety.

FAQ image

Can I remain anonymous when seeking help?

Yes. You can reach out to us without sharing your name. We will connect you to resources that allow confidential or anonymous assistance, depending on your comfort level and safety needs.

FAQ image

What kinds of resources do you provide directly?

We create and distribute safety-planning guides, self-check tools, and discreet informational materials that help you recognize abuse, understand your rights, and know where to turn for help — including options for those who cannot safely make phone calls or use the internet at home.

FAQ image

How do you bring awareness to the public?

Safe Haven Collective produces pamphlets, posters, and literature that can be displayed in public spaces like libraries, community centers, churches, and airports. These materials are designed to be clear, discreet, and actionable — giving victims access to help and educating the community on recognizing signs of abuse.

FAQ image

Do you work with churches and faith leaders?

Yes. Many survivors first seek help from their pastor, priest, or faith community. We provide training and literature for church leaders to help them respond safely, avoid harmful advice (such as urging victims to “just pray and stay”), and connect survivors to proper resources.

FAQ image

How can businesses partner with you?

Businesses can:

Display Safe Haven stickers or posters

Sponsor printing of awareness materials

Host employee training on recognizing and responding to domestic violence

Join our donor network or become an annual sponsor

FAQ image

How do you ensure victims aren’t put in more danger when you share resources?

Our materials are designed with discretion in mind: no large logos, no triggering imagery, and QR codes labeled with neutral terms (like “Community Resources”). We also partner with domestic violence experts to review all content for safety before distribution.
